Attractive Guidelines for Users

This publication presents all aspects of the Europeana Regia project: the partner libraries involved, the manuscript collections to be reconstructed, the manuscripts to be digitised, the users' expectations regarding the presentation of the manuscripts and their descriptions, and the techniques applied.



State of the Art in Image Processing

This document summarises the state of the art in image processing for the digitisation of medieval manuscripts. These standards and procedures were applied by Europeana Regia's partner institutions over the course of the project.




Quality Management

This document presents guidelines for quality management for digitization projects in the field of medieval manuscripts and other prestigious objects. Based on the comprehensive understanding of quality management in the international standards ISO 9000, 9001, 9004 and 19011, these guidelines are applicable both to in-house digitization and to projects including external service providers.



XSLTs: Check manuscript metadata before ingestion into Europeana / TEL

This is a reference and transformation XSLT for controlling your manuscript metadata before ingestion into Europeana via The European Library. Developed by Stefanie Gehrke within the scope of the Europeana Regia project, it is a modular approach to converting multiple input formats (TEI, Marc21, EAD, Mets/Mods) into ESE 3.4.1 and EDM.
