Illuminated manuscripts once owned by Carolingian Emperors, French King Charles V and the Aragonese kings of Naples are now available in stunning detail online, thanks to an exciting virtual exhibition: Manuscripts and Princes in Medieval and Renaissance Europe.

Europeana Regia Presented at two Research Conferences in Italy

Under the title "Vecchi manoscriti, nuovi usi: Europeana Regia, una biblioteca per il XXI secolo", Victoria García Esteve and Margarita Escriche (Universitat de València) presented the Europeana Regia project in  Rome, at the Seminar Umanesimo e società nelle collezioni librarie del CNR: Seminari di Studi (Roma, 29-30 maggio, 2012).

Europeana Regia presented at the 19th Conference on the History of the Crown of Aragon

The Europeana Regia project was presented at the 19th Conference on the History of the Crown of Aragon,  held in Zaragoza, Caspe and Alcañiz, Spain, on 27th-30th June 2012. This Conference is a long-standing tradition, with its first edition taking place in 1908. This year, the conference was attended by 190 researchers from different countries, specialising in the fields of Medieval and Modern History, and the History of Constitutionalism.
